COUN 524 Foundations of Pastoral Counseling (3 credits)
Examines the history, philosophy, roles, functions and faith elements that guide the pastoral counselor. Students will become aware of professional pastoral counselor organizations, accreditation regulations, license requirements, self-care strategies, advocacy and other counselor expectations. Students will demonstrate proficiency in applying ethical and legal considerations in pastoral counseling.
