EDEC 204 Literacy Instruction for Young Learners – Part I

Prerequisites: EDEC 101 and EDEC 102
Theory based course where students are exposed to in-depth study of prevalent schools of thought in the field of literacy instruction. Emphasis placed on an understanding of theory in order to evaluate major techniques for teaching the language arts such as the Language Experience Approach (LEA) and guided reading.
