EDEC 205 Theory and Pre-Practicum I
3 credits
Prerequisites: EDEC 101 and EDEC 102
Students introduced to basic techniques and methods for planning, teaching, and assessing developmentally and culturally appropriate learning experiences for children in Pre K-4. Students examine the crucial role that teachers serve in fostering playful, inquisitive behaviors and healthy, physical activity in young children. A seminar approach relating theory and research in play, movement and health to practice.
