Five-Year Fast Track Degree Program (BABA/MS)

This fast-track program is designed to assist students seeking to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and the Master of Science in either Human Resources Management or Information Systems Management in a five year period of time. The School’s Master of Science degrees are 33 credit hour programs. In order to complete both degrees in five years, students will need to plan on taking 18 undergraduate credit hours in the second semester of their junior year; 6 credit hours in the summer of their junior year; 18 credit hours in each semester of their senior year; and 6-9 credit hours each semester thereafter. With this schedule, the student will graduate with the BABA by May of their senior year and be able to complete the MS degree and graduate a year later in May or at the end of the summer term.

Eligibility and Application Process

Students interested in participating in the five-year fast-track program will take 18 credit hours of undergraduate courses in the second semester of their junior year and in the same semester apply for formal admission to the graduate program.

The application will be submitted to the SBA Graduate Program Director, and it will consist of an application form, official undergraduate transcript, an academic writing sample, and a letter of recommendation from the student’s academic advisor and/or major professor. The student must have a cumulative undergraduate grade point average of no less than 3.0 to be conditionally admitted into the graduate program.

The application should be submitted to the SBA Graduate Programs Director no later than April 15th.

Admission to Program

The applications materials will be reviewed by the Graduate Program Director, the Dean, and the relevant Department Chair. Upon approval, the student will be conditionally admitted to the graduate program of choice. The conditional admission will be removed when the student completes the degree requirements for the BABA and meets the GPA requirements of the graduate programs.
