Intern Student Teaching
For teachers currently employed in schools, the requirement for student teaching is arranged for by the School of Education in the teacher’s own classroom, as long as the teacher’s assignment is appropriate for the certificate sought. For example, a teacher must be employed in a Pre K-4 classroom in order to be supervised for Pre K-4 certification. Intern teachers register for a six-credit internship and a three-credit Senior seminar. Intern teachers must be screened and present evidence of readiness for intern student teaching as previously described.
