MATH 221 Ordinary Differential Equations

Prerequisite: MATH 212 and MATH 220
Offered in the Spring of odd-numbered years
An introduction to the methods of solution of differential equations. Analytical, numerical, and graphical solutions will be studied. Emphasis will be on mathematical models using ODE’s, with applications for a variety of fields of interest. Topics include first and second order linear ODE’s, non-linear ODE’s, the phase plane.
