NUR 450 Contemporary Issues in Health Care Delivery
3 credits
Four classroom hours per week.
An overview of the health care delivery system and an historical review of nursing with a comparison of the U.S. Health care model with those of other countries are provided. The legal, ethical, financial, quality of care, and management issues peculiar to the health care delivery system, as well as implications for the profession of nursing are critically examined. Political, economic, and social influences on health policy and health care reform efforts are explored.
