NURS 318 Nursing and The Childbearing Family

Corequisites: NURS 338, NURS 317
The physiological and psychosocial aspects of the childbearing family from pre-conception until integration of the newborn into the family are examined. The impact of low-risk and high risk childbearing experiences on the family are explored. Concurrent clinical experiences incorporate the roles of the nurse and health promotion, maintenance, and restoration needs of the childbearing family.
