This course provides students with the opportunity to apply and evaluate the leadership and management roles of a professional nurse to improve safety and quality of patient care. Students critically appraise current issues and trends in nursing and health care and their effects on the health care delivery system. Concurrent clinical experiences facilitate the application of course content in a variety of clinical settings.
