Parking

The Academy of Music is located at South Broad and Locust Streets on the Avenue of the Arts.

Guests in wheelchairs or using canes or walkers as well as any guest of any age needing special assistance to enter the Academy of Music can be dropped off right in front of the main entrance to the Academy of Music on South Broad Street. After drop off, vehicles must leave the drop off zone and proceed to parking on the street or in nearby parking lots or garages.

There are numerous parking garages and lots within a short walking distance of the Academy of Music. The Academy of Music website suggests the following sites for parking:

Bellevue Parking Lot: northwest side of Broad & Locust Streets

Doubletree Hotel: southwest corner of Broad & Locust Streets

Park & Lock: on Spruce between 15th and 16th Streets on north side

Central Parking System Facilities:

15th and Sansom Streets
219 S. Broad Street
1616 Chancellor Street
1816 Sansom Street

Kinney System: northeast side of Broad and Locust Streets

Five Star: 1500 Spruce Street, Academy House garage

The Philadelphia Parking Authority (PPA) operates off-street parking lots and garages throughout the city. For more information on specific locations near the Academy of Music visit the PPA website. 

There are less expensive lots if you don’t mind a short walk to the Academy of Music. Check out Parkopedia Broad and Locust  which offers a map containing clickable icons that show how much each garage costs for exact days/hours. Keep in mind that rates do change frequently.
